The engine will be connected to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission with Steptronic sequential shifting control. The base 2.0L turbocharged 4 motor engine in the 530i can accelerate to 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and quarter miles in 13.8 seconds. You can now replace the 2.0L Turbo inline-4 motor with the 3.0 L turbocharged, inline-6 motor from the 2022 BMW 5 Series. It can go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

The trim 540i will be equipped with a 3.0L turbocharged 6-cylinder inline-6 engine. It produces 335 horsepower and 332 lb. ft of torque. The AWD and RWD options are available for an additional $2300. A 4.4L twin-turbo V8 with 523 horsepower is also available in the engine lineup, but it’s only available on the M550i trim.

New 2022 BMW 5 Series Release Date and Price
BMW has not yet announced the prices for the 2022 5-Series model year. Expect the price to rise, but not become too high. The base 530i will be priced between $55,195 and $62,745. The 540i will be available at a price of $64,445 and up.
The 530e will start at $58,195. The M550i trim, which is a beast, will cost at least $77.795. At this time, the exact date of the 2022 BMW 5 Series is not known. It is however expected to be available this summer.
